FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PC-Doctor Files Action For Patent Infringement Against Ultra-X
Leading PC Diagnostics Company Says Competitor Using Patented Technology in USB Test System

RENO, Nev. (June 5, 2006) — PC-Doctor, Inc. (www.pc-doctor.com), a leader in the development of PC diagnostic software, today announced a lawsuit against one of its competitors, Ultra-X of Santa Clara, Calif., for infringement of PC-Doctor’s patented technology for testing the ubiquitous universal serial bus (USB) found in many of today’s personal computers.

PC-Doctor’s complaint, filed recently in U.S. District Court, seeks an injunction against Ultra-X’s infringement, as well as damages and other relief, including the halting of sales and imports of the infringing goods. Specifically, the complaint for patent infringement concerns U.S. Patent No. 6,829,726, and is directed to the manufacture and sales of the Ultra-X QuickTech USB 1.1 and Ultra-X QuickTech USB 2.0 products. The named inventor on the ’726 patent is PC-Doctor founder, Aki Korhonen, who is widely recognized as an expert and significant contributor in the world of PC diagnostics.

"PC-Doctor respects others’ intellectual property rights, and it is unfortunate that some of our competitors do not seem to follow a similar philosophy. We reached out to Ultra-X prior to serving our complaint, but after they responded only with court papers, we felt that we had to proceed with legal action against Ultra-X to prevent the unauthorized use of our technology," said Suzanna Mak, chief executive officer of PC-Doctor. "While we prefer to compete in the marketplace, we value our technology lead and will not shy from enforcing our intellectual property rights when necessary and appropriate."

With more than 200 tests in Windows and DOS, PC-Doctor Service Center offers multiple boot options to run from CD or install on the system hard drive. Should a system require depot or on-site service, PC-Doctor Service Center rapidly verifies reported hardware failures and fully tests newly installed components and upgrades prior to returning the system to the customer.
